Does the high blood pressure medicine Lisinopril is a good treatment for high blood pressure?

My blood pressure is been going up really bad. My last measurement was 170/112. It does not go down. My blood pressure was good until i began taking Lisinopril from Norvasc. Can anyone tell me was is the best option on treating blood pressure.

My blood pressure is normally about 150-160 over 90. I am a highly stressed person all the time. I have bad anxiety alot. But once my infertility doctor sees how high my blood pressure is, will he not let me continue with the treatment to be able to have kids? does anyone taking amlodipine ? is it ok for young people who have high blood pressure to take amlodipine coz i know lisinopril if the first treatment
